           Smiles say it all!

           Santa Narong

On Saturday 9th December all 55 children from the Camillian Centre Rayong a home for children and orphans affected by HIV/AIDS arrived at Jameson’s the Irish Pub on Moo 9, Soi Sukrudee (Soi A.R.) to enjoy a Christmas treat.

Kim Fletcher provided them with soft drinks, food and entertainment. We just had to provide the gifts with the money raised from the last two pub nights and a private doantion by Duane Pebworth.

As soon as the Children arrived they were greeted with an array of soft drinks and then they tucked into the mountain of food that the Jameson's chef bought out.

After the food, chairs were dragged all over Jameson's ready for the magic show with Dr.MAGIC.

The children's faces were a picture as Dr. MAGIC produced chickens, doves, potato crisps and sweets out of thin air! They shrieked with laughter as one of the Children began producing water through a funnel as DR MAGIC pumped his arm!

Magic show over, the children heard the HO HO HO of Santa arriving!

We managed to ply enough Heineken into Narong to get him to agree to be the first Thai Santa!
Even though he had a bout of stage fright he did a brilliant job!

All the Children crowded around Santa waiting to see what he had in store for them.

Some of the Children’s gifts were bigger than the Child, which added to the wonder in the Children’s face……wondering how to carry it home!

After a few Christmas Carols and the Children singing a "thank you" song to the Charity Club, Kim and of course Santa Narong the children gathered up all the presents and went home VERY HAPPY!
Not only did the children have a wonderful time, but, many Falangs who had happened to be in Jameson's also enjoyed watching the the look on the Children's faces.

Peter Rottmann from the Rotary club Krasang-Buriram  attended as he was also visiting Mai.
Mai was the little girl that we found a place for at the Camillian Centre when we were doing the wheelchair appeal and found her living in poverty with her Grand mother who couldn't afford the medication she needed after contracting HIV/AIDS for her now dead parents.

Peter is also our representative in the Buriram Krasang areas.

The Charity Club of Pattaya would like to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to Kim Fletcher of Jameson’s and his staff, Dr. Magic and of course Santa Narong for all the help making this Christmas treat for the Children such a joy to watch.
